UP Police Constable Selection Procedure

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has already announced the Selection Procedure of the UP Police Constable Recruitment 2018. Here we are going to elaborate everything for the candidates.

Below are the steps will be involved in the Selection

  1. Written Examination
  2. Document Verification & Physical Measurement Test
  3. Physical Endurance Test (Efficiency Test)
  4. Merit List

Written Examination: The applicants, in the very first step of the application process, will appear for the written examination. In the Examination, there will be 150 Question. Each question will carry 2 marks hence the examination will be of 300 Marks.

A negative marking will be there in the UP Police Constable Written Examination.

Document Verification & Physical Measurement Test: The Recruitment board will select 5 times candidates against advertised vacancies. So, a few more than the top 2,00,000 candidates will be called up for the Documents verification and Physical Measurement.

Physical Efficiency Test: After the Verification, the Valid candidates will go through the efficiency Test.

In this Physical Test, there will be only one section. This time the board has removed the Long Jump and High Jump. The applicants will have to go through the Running Only.

  • Male Candidates: 4.8 KMs in 24 Minutes
  • Female Candidates: 2.4 KMS in 14 Minutes

Merit List/ Final Selection List: Based on the performance in Written test and Physical Test, the Final Selection List will be prepared. A Final Merit List/ Selection list will be displayed on the Board’s Website.
